Chocolate Upside Down Pudding Cake

It’s hot Chocolate Cake with hot Chocolate Pudding, the bubbles inside of the cake.  Moist and delicious is a true understatement.

The chocolate sauce is the pudding, this is so divine and so easy.

What Do I Need?

Flour (1 cup)

Baking Powder (1 tbsp)

Cocoa Powder (1/4 cup)

Salt (1/4 tsp)

Sugar (1/2 cup)

Butter (or margarine) (1/2 cup)

Milk (soy or otherwise) (1/2 cup)

Vanilla

Sugar (3/4 cup)

Cocoa Powder (1/4 cup)

Boiling Water (2 cups)

This is what your batter looks like after combining the first 4 ingredients and adding 1/2 cup of Sugar, 1/2 cup of Butter or Margarine, 1/2 cup of Milk and a teaspoon of Vanilla.

This is the buttered baking dish I spread my delicious looking cake batter in.

FYI, it’s really good uncooked as well.  It would be Fantastic as the cream in between Two Chocolate Chip Cookies.

I am so doing that.

Mix together 3/4 cup of Sugar and 1/4 cup of Cocoa Powder.

Boil 2 cups of water.

I totally for got to take pictures of the rest of the process.  I am making this again this Sunday for a Dinner Party, so I will add glorious photographs next week.  Until then…

Sprinkle your Sugar and Cocoa mixture on top of your cake batter, slowly add your 2 cups of boiling water.

DO NOT STIR THIS.

Put it into the oven just as it is at 350 for 40 minutes.  It does it’s own thing in the oven.

While mine cooked I went for a walk with my Mother in Law and Miss Alice and Jaci.

Spring is here.

It’s Miss Alice!

Driveway Gravel that is no longer covered in dirty snow, and…

Jaci!

A beautiful early Spring sunset.

While we walked my cake baked and we came home to hot Upside Down Chocolate Pudding Cake.

I dare you to try to not eat the whole thing.

What Do I Do?

Combine your first four ingredients, add in the Sugar, Butter, Milk and Vanilla, spread this cake batter into a greased baking dish.

Mix 3/4 of a cup of Sugar and 1/4 of a cup of Cocoa Powder, sprinkle this over your cake batter.  Carefully pour 2 cups of boiling water over the whole shebang.

DO NOT MIX THIS.

Put it in the oven at 350 for about 40 minutes.  Put Delicious things on top of it.  Eat it.

ENJOY!
